About the artist
Jenna Bolusky was born in Washington D.C. in 1995. Bolusky drew inspiration from her mother who became an artist after beginning chemo. Over the years, Bolusky’s fascination with art began to grow and this led her to pursue a bachelor’s in Studio Art from Stetson University with a minor in Art History. Bolusky used her electives to take Philosophy courses, and her studies in those classes influence her artwork today. After graduating from Stetson University, Bolusky taught art at Apopka High School. Drawing has always been Bolusky’s favorite medium. She draws portraits that reflect the human condition. Her work incorporates satire and an interesting approach to realism that draws on inspiration from her personal experiences and interactions with others. Bolusky is constantly exploring and developing improved means by which she makes work.
